How To Make Jello Shots

Jello shots are a great way to add a little fun to any party. If you're planning a party or get-together, consider adding jello shots to your food/beverage list. However, you may use any type of alcohol you desire. The recipe below reflects the use of 80 proof vodka.

Ingredients

• 1 large (6oz) package Jell-O
• 16oz boiling water
• 6oz cold water
• 10oz vodka

Directions

1. Add the Jell-O powder to the boiling water. Stir until it is completely dissolved.
2. Add the cold water and vodka. Stir.
3. Pour mixture into containers. Small 1-2 ounce containers are ideal. Shot glasses are nice, but jello tends to stick to glass. If you use glass, try spraying a little non-stick cooking spray on it before filling. Small paper or plastic cups (like those used to hold condiments at restaurants) are nice, because they can be pushed inside out, making consumption easy. Many are available with lids, which can prevent spills and allow you to stack, store, and transport more easily.
4. Refrigerate jello shots until firm (approximately 2-4 hours). Continue refrigerating until served.
