Gather your ingredients. For this recipe, you will need the following ingredients:
- 1/4 cup of olive oil
- 1/2 of an onion
- 1/2 clove of garlic
- 1 lb of bacon
- 1 lb of spaghetti
- 1 cup of Parmesan cheese
- 4 eggs
- Touch of oregano
- Touch of basil
Cook the spaghetti. Start off by getting the spaghetti going in a boiling pot of water. Let it cook for about 10 minutes or until it reaches the hardness you like.
Fry the bacon, garlic, and onion. While the spaghetti is cooking, you can begin frying the bacon. Simply put it in a skillet and cook it until it browns up and gets to the point where you can break or crunch it into smaller pieces. At this same time, stick a 1/2 clove of finely minced garlic and 1/2 of a finely minced onion in the skillet. Let these cook while the bacon is going. After the bacon is done, set it to the side, but make sure to leave the bacon grease in the skillet.
Scramble the eggs. Begin scrambling the eggs in the same skillet in which you cooked the garlic and bacon. This really reinforces the flavor of the dish and prevents the eggs from overpowering it all.
Combine the ingredients. At this point, the spaghetti, bacon, and eggs are all cooked, and they simply need to be combined. Put the spaghetti and a 1/4 cup of olive oil in a large bowl, and then mix in the bacon and eggs along with 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, a touch of oregano, and a touch of chopped basil. After stirring them all together, you're done!
