In order to Twilight Bleeding Vampire Cupcakes at home, a few basic things are required - a box mix for vanilla cake or cupcakes or a recipe for homemade vanilla cupcakes, the ingredients required for the recipe of choice, an oven, cupcake liners, a cupcake pan, a blood red filling that can be either a red pudding, red jelly, or any kind of red fruit puree, and the icing of choice.
The first thing that is necessary for making Twilight Bleeding Vampire Cupcakes is to determine what ingredients are required for the recipe that is being used and gathering them, along with a mixing bowl, spatula and a mixer or heavy duty spoon as well as your muffin/cupcake pan(s). Get the work area set up, pre-heat the oven and make sure that everything will go smoothly.
Once everything is set up properly, then it's time to make the actual cupcakes following the recipe of choice. Once the cupcakes are baking away in the oven, it's time to gather the rest of the supplies needed to make the plain vanilla cupcakes into Twilight Bleeding Vampire Cupcakes. Gather together a cooling rack, a table knife, the cupcake filling of choice, for instance fresh strawberry puree, the frosting and decorations to be added to the top of the filled cupcakes and a plate or container to put the finished cupcakes on or in.
After taking the cupcakes out of the oven and letting them cool thoroughly, it's time to make them into Bleeding Vampire Cupcakes. Take the knife and carefully cut a divot into the top of the cupcake, setting aside the plug for later use. Spoon the filling into the divot that was just made, making sure not to overfill it, take the plug and cut it in half then place it back into the divot, hiding the filling.
Once the cupcakes are filled, the fun begins. Creatively ice and decorate each cupcake, thoroughly disguising that there is anything out of the ordinary about them. Once they are bitten into and the filling oozes out, everyone will know why they are called Bleeding Vampire Cupcakes. A fun variation would be to use a red velvet cake recipe or mix, or even just add a few drops of red coloring into the cupcake batter. If you want to learn how to make another variation, tint the icing to be flesh colored to make it even more fun for someone to bite into.
