Do you have any computer or technology questions? Feel free to ask them at cleartechinfo.com. Remember, the only stupid question is a question you do not ask. In this tutorial, I will show you how to back up and restore Firefox 3 bookmarks. I will start with the first lesson on how to back up your Firefox 3 bookmarks.
Open up Firefox 3, click bookmarks, organize bookmarks, import and back up, click back up, type in the desired filename for your back up, or you could just leave the name which is bookmarks and the date you created on. The default location for your back up bookmarks to be stored is on the desktop. If you like to store it at a different place, click browse folders and you can always go in my computer if you have the USB drive or any other directory you want to store it on.
Now, for this example, I will just leave it as is. Clicks save and your bookmarks are backed up. You could save it to your USB drive, burn in to a CD, email it, or any other way you choose.
For the second part of the lesson, I will show you how to restore your Firefox 3 bookmarks. Open up Firefox 3 and as you can see there are no bookmarks or anything that is in this browser. I deleted everything on purpose so you could see how it works. Click bookmarks, organize bookmarks, import and back up, restore, choose file, it is on your desktop. So you could just search for the file, select it, click open, click okay, close this. And as you can see, I restored all the bookmarks.
