Speaker: He tends to have food allergies and a sensitive stomach. What kind of a food should I be feeding him?
Speaker: Well, maybe you should tell him to not be so sensitive. Wendy Nan Rees, Pet Lifestyle Advisor and author of "The Pet Food Cookbook" says, if your kitty has allergies, see a veterinarian to develop a band to figure out what is causing the allergy. Usually, a vet will have feed your cat a single protein source she has never had before like pheasant, quail, elk. Once you know she can process the new protein, you'll add an other ingredient until you see what is bothering her. If it is not allergies and just a sensitive stomach, Russell Louie, a holistic wellness consultant for pets, suggest avoiding the fattiest meat so it's just pork, duck, and lamb. Here comes the Chu Chu Train. Good stuff?

Speaker: Well, I eat different food everyday and I feed my cat the same food and why can't my cat eat different food everyday like I do?
Speaker: You know, I kind of have a similar thing, I wear the same pair of jeans everyday and just hope nobody notices. Wendy says, feed your cat the same kibble because changing her diet forces her digestive system to continually adjust to accepting the food and that can give her digestive issues. But you can add variety by mixing some fresh fruits and vegetable's into the kibble. On this topic veterinarian, Brigit Ankone, endorses variation. She says, you are best thought giving your cat different food since there is no single perfect food. She feeds her cat the mix of raw food, quality can food and even people food such as Tuna every now and then. That way your cat gets a variety of nutrients from different sources. Speaker: Yes, I do but it is speculative.
Speaker: My question is how do I change my cat's kibble if I want to.
Speaker: It is a good question, my mom had a really hard time winning me off when I was a kid. If you want to change your cat food, Wendy says, it is important to gradually transition your cat from the old food to the new food which may have digestive issues. Start with 80% of the old food and 20% of the new food for a few days, then adding more new and less old over a period of about two weeks.
Speaker: I have not had lunch yet.
