Well, gardeners love amaryllis. They love that long stock with that beautiful bell like flower. We always plant them traditionally through the head and shoulders method. Where we have at the top and half the bulb showing when we put it on the pot. The other way of doing it is putting it in the Voss and lying a water come up just to the bottom never touching the bulb but just at the bottom and they will grow and flower beautifully. Well, that things to make exciting news and that is if you chill this bulb if you put it down to the temperature around 13 degrees Celsius for 8 weeks you can actually grow this bulb without anything, without any soil, without any moisture just leaving on a window seal or in a stairway and you can get this beautiful flower and the other neat things is we are trying to do more unique things. Traditionally, we let the stem go up straight but by putting on it on an angle or even upside down we can get some really unique shapes out of these things. Now, what I have got here is I have a crystal ball and what I am going to do is I am going to take this large bulbs and I am just going to set them in and I am going actually set up more like this. I will set them upside down in side way. I put this one this way and this way and what is going to happen in a number of weeks is the stems will start to come out and curl and intertwine and eventually come to the top and have a beautiful flower. So, not only I am going to have a great color, I have a really unique flower stem. So if you are looking for something little different you may want to try this.
