Valentine's Day is all about pampering your loved ones. Hi! I am Rebecca Brayton and welcome to watchmojo.com, and today, I'll be showing you a recipe that will get your Valentine's Day started out right. Banana and chocolate chip buttermilk pancakes, for this recipe, you'll need 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1/2 a teaspoon of baking soda, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, 1 egg, 1 cup of buttermilk, chocolate chips, and finally bananas. In a small bowl combine the dry ingredients and mix them well. In a medium size bowl beat the egg slightly with a fork. When that's done add the buttermilk and stir until just combined. Add the dry ingredients to the egg buttermilk mixture and stir with a wooden spoon until just combined. Leave some small lumps in the mixture so as not to over-mix. First step, preheat your griddle to 375 degrees. Spoon a quarter cup of the batter onto the griddle for each pancake. Here is where you can use any ingredients you like to flavor the pancakes before the batter gets heated. In our case, we are using chocolate chips and slices of banana. You'll know when to flip the pancakes, when the bubbles that form on the edges of the pancakes no longer disappear. Cook on the opposite side for about another minute and then serve immediately. Pancakes are naked without maple syrup, so be sure to have some on hand when you are serving your honey, breakfast in bed.
