How to cut or trim an audio file to a desired duration and add fade-in and fade out. Open your audio file. Highlight the section and duration of the track that you want. Click select. Use “Time Shift Tool” to move selected track to the beginning. Zoom in for a bigger view to facilitate edits to the audio track. Highlight portion to add Fade-in. Click effect and select Fade-in. Highlight portion to edit Fade-out. Click effects and select fade-out. Your desired track is fully completed. Preview your work to ensure everything is okay. Export your new files as .wav. or .mp3.
