Everyone wants to carry the right weight for his body. Depending on your age and height your doctor can determine how heavy your body would weigh. In most doctors’ offices a chart is available indicating your current age and your right height for that age. On another column is the desired weight that clients would aim. If you happen to have more weight than the desired one indicated on the chart, your problem has started.
There are weight loss programs available in every doctor’s or health care professional’s office. But you cannot just get any of them before the advice of a professional. During your visits, your doctor would not talk about weight loss unless you initiate the conversation. While you are there tell him all about your weight problems. Your doctor must know how to control it so you stop gaining weight. They are more knowledgeable in giving you the right program or procedure so you achieve the ideal weight for your height.
Before your visit, get ready with your questions. Take down notes so you will not forget his advices. Be sure you are following his instructions and you understand everything he said. Don’t be shy to ask your doctor to repeat any word you do not understand very well and ask him to reword it for you.
If your health care professional suggests that you should join a weight loss program find out first if there is a need for it. If your extra weight is affecting your health, then you should know how much weight you will discard. Sometimes, you need not do any extra thing to loss weight. You just need to reduce the amount of food intake that you become used to.
A well balanced diet is important if you want to maintain good health. Take note of the food that gives plenty of calories and avoid too much of them. Eat only when you are hungry and get the low-fat counterpart of your favorite food. At social gatherings eat only foods according to what social graces dictate.
You should also engage in regular exercise so that your body always moves and fats would not accumulate. Going to the gym at least once a week gives you a feeling of lightness. During days when you don’t have a workout, do your activity at home. Even in the bathroom you can perform your exercise. In the living room, sweep the floor with a sway of your hands and your body (this is for women).
The usual weight loss program that is prescribed by health care professionals or even doctors is a schedule of the right amount of food intake for a period of at least one month plus exercise. The food combination on the program can be replaced but be careful in replacing because they may have effect on your health condition. Whatever plans you have, always consult your doctor.
Remember that before you start the weight program, you had a thorough check up by your doctor. This is to assure you that you are getting the right weight-loss program that is fitted only for you.
