Your eyes are the windows to your personal surroundings and your individual soul.  It is very important to take care of your eyes as well as possible and to be aware of any changes in them.  If you think that you are having vision problems, then here are some signs to detect vision loss.

One of the first ways to detect vision loss, if you wear glasses, is how often your eye glass prescription changes.  Most people tend to find themselves going to see an optometrist once or twice a year for a checkup, depending on their situation.  If you were to realize that you have to see an eye doctor several times a year, and the strength of your eye glasses keep getting stronger, then you are definitely experiencing some vision loss.

Another way to detect vision loss, glasses or not, is how smoothly you are able to move about during the normal course of a day.  If you catch yourself stumbling, running into things, or losing your balance more than usual, then you are more than likely having vision problems.  Everybody has the tendency to get off kilter and bump into things. If this happens to you more often than before, then you need to get yourself checked out. Through an average day, you should be able to move gracefully from room to room at home or at your workplace.

Last but not least, a noticeable change in your appearance is a way to detect vision loss.  One day you might go into work all prim and proper and the next day you come in wearing missed matched clothes and your hair is going in all sorts of direction.  This would be because you were not able to see yourself clearly in the mirror.  Yes, our eyes are tired in the mornings, but you should be able to see yourself well enough to make sure that you look decent enough to face the world.

Overall, these are just three simple ways to detect vision loss.  There are plenty of other ways to determine if your eyes are becoming weaker.  The first sign that you notice, do not hesitate or ignore the problem. Go see your optometrist as soon as you can.  If you wait too long, your chances at significant vision loss become even greater.
