Losing weight within 24 hours may seem impossible. But, losing weight is actually just a matter of determining how much calories goes into your body, and how many calories is burned off. If you are able to offset the calorie intake, then you will be able to lose weight, even in just one day. This means that if you burn more calories than you take in, you actually lose weight. Here’s how.
- Calories. First of all, you should reduce your calorie intake for the day. A person will usually eat around 2000 calories worth of food in each day. You will need to reduce your calorie intake in order to lose a few pounds. Some people are able to function with just a thousand calories in their food each day. If you are able to do this, go ahead. Others will need around 1,200 calories or even 1,500 calories. The important thing is that you do not eat more than 2000 calories. Otherwise, you will gain weight within a day, instead of losing weight. Make sure that you check the foods that you eat, and that you calculate the number of calories that is going inside your body. Include drinks and snacks, since a bar of chocolate or a mug of coffee latte can actually contain hundreds and sometimes even thousands of calories.
- Cardio. Next, work on your cardiovascular exercises for at least one hour during the day. Start off with ten minutes of stretching, and then do some running, jogging, jumping jacks, and other basic exercises. These exercises can be done at home, and do not require you to sign up for an expensive membership at the local gym. Be sure to exercise only according to your capacity, however. If you are not the type of person who regularly exercises, an hour of intense cardio workouts may burn you eat and leave you exhausted. And because you are minimizing your calorie intake, you should make sure that you do not exhaust yourself too much since there is no fuel in your body to keep you up for too long. An hour is enough. Be sure to cool down with some more stretching exercises after your cardio workout.
- Water. Water is one of the best ways to fight off the flab. Water will keep you feeling full, does not contain calories, and is great for your body. Make sure that you drink plain water, instead of juice or coffee or energy drinks. Even energy drinks contain plenty of calories. In fact, one of the reasons why energy drinks can keep you up all night is because these usually have plenty of calories that will keep you running with fuel all night long. Water, on the other hand, will keep you feeling refreshed without having to add to the calories already in your body.
Finally, try to visit a sauna and unwind after your workout in the steam room. Calories are ‘burned’ by the body, which means that it is used by the cells as the fuel to keep the cells running. In a steam room, the calories are burned in a different way. The body is forced to produce more water and oils because of the heat, which leads to calorie loss and leaner and thinner you. With these steps, you should be able to lose up to two pounds in just one day.
