How To Draw Trees

Whether you are an artist or you are not, drawing trees if possibly one of the easiest items to learn to draw. Fortunately with a little time and a little care, it is very hard to make a tree look like anything but a tree! We all remember drawing two sticks attached to a cloudlike ball of leaves when we were younger, but this is not exactly realism. I'll go through some easy steps to help you learn how to draw the most realistic tree possible.

Just follow these steps:

What kind of tree? Aside from the children's cartoon world, there are many different kinds of trees. No matter how similar they look, they all have their own special characteristics. All of these things will give your drawing an authenticity that people will notice when they view it. They won't say, look at that tree, they will say, look at that oak tree.

How To Paint Water

Paintings of oceans, rivers, and other bodies of water can be beautiful, but managing to get the water to look like actual water instead of simply a splash of blue on the canvas can sometimes be quite a challenge.

One of the most important things to remember when trying to paint water is that there are a variety of different types of bodies of water, each with its own unique characteristics. Make sure that you consider the differences between rivers, lakes, oceans, and puddles before you start to paint them, and you'll likely recreate them with greater ease.

How To Draw Faces

Faces hold a special place in human vision. Recognizing familiar faces actually takes place in a different part of the brain than recognizing, say, landmarks or letters of the alphabet. From an evolutionary standpoint, facial recognition may have evolved before less personal vision tasks. Consequently, drawing faces poses difficulties that drawing other objects does not.

 The Amateur Approach

Because we put such a premium on faces, we subconsciously grant them too much 'real estate' on the head.
