How To Play the Game "I Am More Powerful"

For little children of ages 5 to 10, I have devised this "I'm more powerful" game using chess pieces. Incidentally, for kids of ordinary intelligence, this game will give them an introduction to chess pieces and as they grow up, they can be introduced to playing chess smoothly.

How To Play the Game "Sum Even Before You Add"

Here is a very interesting ‘magic with Mathematics"! In this game, you can give the answer (i.e. sum) of a five-number addition even before all the numbers are written! You can play this game with friends and children (age 8 and above) and make them wonderstruck with your wizardry.

Let me give an example of adding 5 numbers. The numbers could be anywhere from two digits to any number of digits, depending on the age of the children and their patience to do the summing.

You will start the game saying, "We are now going to do a 5-number addition. You will give the first two numbers and the 4th number; I will contribute the 3rd and 5th number. The moment you give the first number, I will give the answer of the SUM immediately, before putting the rest of the 4 numbers. Once we are finished, you can check the total and you will find my answer given at the beginning to be correct!"

How To Play the "I Know Telepathy" Game

I know telepathy" is an excellent game of trick that a pair of children can play to show off and impress other children in a get-together.

It is a game suited for children of age group 6 to 12, and even elders too can join just for fun.

In this game, player A and B team up together and play their trick on player C. A and B could be brothers and sisters or close friends who have good understanding between them.

The game involves guessing the name of a flower, or a vegetable, or a food item, or the name of a country that player C secretly conveys to B. Then B loudly lists out a batch of similar items (for example, if what C said is a flower, then B lists out names of several flowers) and the list includes the flower name that C said.

Out of the entire list, A immediately identifies the item that C had said secretly to B and announces it! That's the telepathy between A and B!

Once the crayons get to small to hold or break into pieces, most people just put them in the trash. But they can still be used.

How To Play Dodgeball

With the popularity of the movie "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story", more people have taken in an interest in what was once thought of as a purely playground-based sport. Dodgeball is indeed a legitimate sport with set rules and an official adult league, the NADA (National Amateur Dodgeball Association). If you're looking for a laid back, local adult sports league that features dodgeball once a week, or you're hoping to become the next World Champion Dodgeball hurler, you need to know the rules of engagement.

If you're playing with friends, feel free to alter the rules as you see fit. But if you're playing in a league, don't be caught off-guard. Learn the rules and use them to your advantage!

How To Play Kids' Party Games

Everybody loves a party, and kids are no exception. Festive decorations, yummy food, tons of balloons and of course, fun party games, help to make the day memorable. If it's been a while since you played children's party games, here is a quick refresher:

Bozo Buckets: Line up 6 buckets and stand a child at one end. Instruct the player to toss a ball into the closest bucket. If the child is successful, she gets to try the next bucket. The child gets to continue tossing the ball into each progressively further bucket until she misses. Award a prize for each successful toss, with the prizes getting a little larger for each toss.

How To Find Educational Online Games

With so much information online and so many websites featuring games for kids, it's tough to figure out which games are worthy of our children's computer time. The sheer volume of offerings can be confusing and difficult to wade through, but here are some tips to find games that will be both entertaining and educational for kids.

Television networks that feature children's programming will usually have a website that contains a section devoted to interactive features for kids. Search online for your local television station and see if they offer anything like this.

Likewise, most TV shows have their own websites. Some shows' sites are combined with those under the same network, like Nick Jr. and PBS. Many of these can be very educational, with special sections for both children and parents.

Major toy manufacturers also have websites with interactive games. Check out Fisher Price and Mega Bloks for examples of these.
