Books are a thing of the past, the present, and now the future as well.  There are many instances were books are involved in many different aspects of a person’s life from work to home to simply driving a car and especially enjoyment and relaxation.  When reading a book there are times where people want to get feedback, discuss the next step the book will take and what others reading the same book think. A book club is a great way to share opinions on scenes within the book. As with most things moving to the future, book clubs are now present online also.

First of all go to your computer and open up your favorite web browser, whether it is Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Opera and get ready to find a book club that will work for you online.

Secondly go to the search engine of your choice, it can be Google, MSN, Yahoo, etc.  And in the search box type in Online Book Clubs.  Now this won't be the hardest thing you will ever do but making sure the book club fits for you is definitely key.

After you hit the enter key thousands, if not millions, of web hits will show up depending on how the search was worded.  A little trick I learned is if you are looking for something specific make sure you put quotations around the words you want so "Book Clubs Online" versus book clubs online.  Each method will afford its own advantages and disadvantages.

After the search is complete make sure you read through the options; MSN now uses Bing which provides a description of the site from the site so people can make an informed decision based on what is read instead of clicking and searching through the text; there will be many sites to choose from and some will provide lists on book clubs housed online through chat rooms.  There are different genres and themes so make sure you choose the one to your liking and sign up.

Books will always be around and their use for entertainment and enjoyment will always be primary.  Through book clubs profound insight can be reached regarding the content and inner messages of the book, the feelings and emotions put into the words printed on the page will turn very real in a good book and the chance to examine and explore them with other like-minded individuals will definitely provide more meaning. Remember - find a club to suit you and have fun.
