How To Commit a Perfect Murder

Choose your weapon. Guns, knives, and poisons are weapons that are commonly used in killing someone. But the perfect weapon that can be used by a murderer is a weapon that kills but does not leave an evident mark, which will make it untraceable for investigators. Making it hard for investigators to identify the cause of death or the weapon used is a definite way to extend the time of autopsy, which is one possible way that you can get away with murder. Here are some of the perfect weapons that can be used for a perfect murder:

·         Polonium, a chemical element that is poisonous when orally ingested. This chemical causes a radiation effect to the body and it will take time before noticing it as the cause of death.

·         Dagger-shaped icicle is foreseen as the most untraceable weapon that can be ever used in a murder. Using an icicle as a weapon for killing is very effective since it melts, and in this way investigators will never be able to identify the weapon used in the crime.   

Plot your scenario wisely. Professional murderers generally plan this part carefully, for this is the part which may not be bought by investigators. Making the scenario look like a suicide is the most common plot used by murderers. However, this plot is easily detected if body marks or wounds are present. Creativity is the key in this aspect, so it is best to know the history of your prey. The main point of this aspect is to decrease the suspicion of crime; hence the murderer must also be meticulous not to leave any evidence that may conclude the situation to a murder.

Kill your victim without leaving any mark on its body. This is only possible when the victim has taken a deadly blow on the neck or a heavy amount of pressure is applied on the neck (right below the ear), where a blood vessel is located, that may cause the heart to stop. The bruise that will be caused by the pressure on the neck is undetectable, since the damage will clutter under the skin and is not visible on the outside.

Choose the method of body disposal.  This is the key to accomplish a perfect murder, since the body is the most essential piece of evidence in a crime scene. The best way to get away with murder is to leave the body in a place where it would take time for the authorities to find it. The longer it takes the investigators to find a dead body the harder it will be for them to know its time of death, wherein it will also be easier for the murderer to make alibis. It is also a good option to leave a dead body in places where the clues will naturally disappear before it can be examined like in the woods, dessert, ocean, or in places that are irrelevantly connected to the murderer.

This is a challenging part, since the temperature of the body and insects that are found on a decomposing body can be used to determine the victim’s time of death. Here are other effective ways to dispose a dead body.

·         Dissolve the body with sulfuric acid. This method will take weeks to completely dissolve a body; on the other hand it removes all DNA evidences that can be found on the body.  

·         Destroy the skeleton and spread it out upon disposal.

·         Burn the whole body including all the evidence. If done in a house, be sure not to leave any traceable evidence that may lead to identify the murderer, this includes DNA and fingerprints, as well as foot markings.  

Projecting the crime scene. Choosing the location where to commit the crime is also an important factor. Killing someone in a public place without anyone noticing it will be definitely hard for the investigators to examine. Seeing as collecting DNA samples in a public place will be pointless.
