The Sims 2: Pets is the fourth expansion pack in the popular strategic computer game series The Sims. The reception has been quite good among the gaming community, as they get to have a hand in managing the daily activities of the virtual characters called Sims. The Sims 2: Pets is quite unique as it offers characters the chance to breed or adopt pet animals like dogs, cats, birds or guinea pigs. Furthermore, these pets can be trained to use the litter box so they don't get to ruin the household's wooden floor, or can be taught various tricks like playing dead or rolling over. They even get to hold decent-paying jobs in the showbiz, service or security industry if they have been well-trained. But if they were not, they end up digging holes in the garden, gnawing on furniture or knocking over trash bins. Like many other successful computer games, The Sims 2: Pets features unlockables. These are a series of games or challenges within the original video game and they can only be accessed after completing specific requirements.

  1. Train your pet to get unlockable codes. Unlockables can be achieved by entering specific codes. And how does one get hold of the codes? Well, you'll have to spend some time in training your chosen pet so that it lands a job. It does not matter whether your pet works in the show business, service or security industry. The important matter is that your pet gets several promotions. Not only will it amount to extra money for you, but you get rewarded with codes every single time your pet is promoted. These codes can unlock certain features in the game that will enable you to modify some of your pet's characteristic such as its fur color or markings.
  2. Do this once you have the unlockable codes. Once you have the codes with you, you are now ready to make some modifications on your beloved pet. Just open The Sims 2: Pets game on your computer. After that, open any neighborhood of your choice. Once there, go to the neighborhood screen and click on the three small dots, which is the Options button. Afterwards, just select Game Options. Once in the Game Options, click the unlockables icon on the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Once this is selected, a dialog box appears, after which you'll need to type in the unlockable code.

The good thing about The Sims 2: Pets is that it does not hinder players from sharing the unlockable codes they have garnered with friends who play the same game. So if you know someone who is fond of playing this game, then by all means implore them to share their unlockable codes with you.
