The game called Farmville that is available on Facebook has skyrocketed in popularity, as there are many people that have started using the application on a regular basis. The game is easy but fun, and a nice way to kill some time or just relax at the end of the day. Noticing the rising number of people that are playing the game, the makers of Farmville have recently come out with new features to the "farming" experience. The most recent element is the ability to fertilize crops. In this feature, you, as the farmer, can fertilize the crops of your neighbors when you go to their farms and help. When this aspect of Farmville was introduced many people did not know how to fertilize in Farmville, but the process of fertilizing is very easy.

1. The first thing that must take place for you to be able to fertilize on Farmville is that you must go to the farm of a neighbor. The fertilizer that is offered on Farmville is randomly given out to different people over a day, and as you go to the farm of the neighbor you are wishing to help, you will not know if they have fertilizer ready for you to fertilize their farm with. If the neighbor you are helping has fertilizer ready, then you will be able to see the icon for the fertilizer on the bottom left hand corner of the Farmville screen. The icon will be a bag of fertilizer with a X5 next to it. This indicates that you can fertilize five plots of crops.
2. If the icon is there, the next step is very simple. The only crop plots that can be fertilized are the ones that have not ripened or have not already been fertilized. The crops that have been fertilized will have sparkles above them, so that is a good way to tell which crops can still be fertilized by you. Once you have found the crops that can be fertilized, you just move your mouse cursor over those plots and click on the plots. You can click on up to five different plots of crops. Your farmer will move to those plots and fertilize the crops. You can check to make sure that you have actually fertilized the crops, because after you fertilize, the sparkles that were over the crops that had already been fertilized will show up above the plots that you fertilized.
