If you or your child is passionate about music or just shows enough interest to want to learn music, then you could find a music class to provide proper music education. Here's how to find a private music lessons.

1. Music Teachers - One of the first things to do is to find music teachers that hold private music classes. You can ask friends and family if they could recommend a good music teacher or if they know where private music classes are held. When you find a music class you can enroll in, ask for schedules and the music curriculum they offer. Then ask if their music teachers are accredited or certified. You can ask for their profile that provides information about their music education background and accomplishments as musicians and music teachers. If you are looking for a private music class for your child you naturally have a music course in mind like classical music. If your child already has a type of music that he or she wants to study then it would be good to find a music teacher who has experience with that type of music.      
2. Music Program - The music program is just as important as finding a good music teacher. You would want you or your child to start out on the right foot and have a good foundation when learning music. Music study involves learning music theory. The student learns how to read musical notes, scales, chords, rhythm and how to apply them on an instrument or voice. An advanced music program will include lessons in music arranging, composing and improvising.
3. Facilities/Location - When you look for private music classes take note of where they are located. The classes you find that are near your area are the ones you should look into first. If you are taking your kids to a music class it will be a lot easier for you to find one near your home so you won't have to travel too far. If you find one in or near a mall, it will give you something to do while you wait for your child's music class to end. Check the facilities if they have adequate equipment, space, emergency exits and in a safe location. Some music teachers can come to your home to teach music. The same music program will be followed and a schedule that is convenient to both parties will be agreed upon.

It is important to find a music class that the student will be comfortable in. Learning how to sing or play an instrument should be fun and enjoyable and the learning environment should also provide that.
