Follow these steps to learn how to make a flying duck out of paper.
In the duck making process, you need to choose the appropriate thickness of paper. The next step is to fold the paper and make a square design look. Fold it again so that it forms a triangle appearance. You really need to be careful since you want the duck to look like a real one. Once you've folded it into a triangle design, make sure to cut off the excess parts. You can now unfold the paper to see the results and after you're done with that refold it again so that two lines are formed running in a diagonally from one corner to the next one.
After you're through you must turn the paper and let the middle part of the paper face upwards. Once you've reached this point, the flying duck is about to be completed. Now fold the paper in half and then turn it over again carefully. The next step is to fold it in half again, but this time in the opposite direction. Note that very carefully. This means you must have two folds running across your paper in an "up and down" direction.
Once you've brought all the corners together fold it into a square then fold all the open edges to meet at the center, and then unfold the edges. A kite look will be formed once you tuck the corners into the inside, then pull the acute edges and then fold it. A diamond setting will be formed. Pull down one of the split ends and let it point to a 90 degree angle. Do the same to the other side of your paper.
The duck's wings will be formed once you have folded down one of the flaps. One of the acute points will be the duck's head and then fold a portion of about 45 degrees. You can lift the wings so that they point away from the duck's body and you're through with your flying duck. It's very simple to make a flying duck.
A famous artist like Robert Segundo is well known for this kind of work. He's been in this business venture of making "flying ducks" for over 10 years and says that graphic designs are his passion. Not only has he been featured in flying duck making but also on other major advertising projects worth millions of dollars. He's also famous for the paper samurai hat and the origami twirling bird. With these you can see the love he has for all birds with the "flying duck" being his favorite.
