Tools and Materials:
- 6"x6" square of construction paper
- Pencil with eraser
- Pushpin
- Ruler
- Scissors

Gather the materials listed above.

Fold the construction paper corner to corner.

Fold it corner to corner again.

Unfold. Your square should have four folds in it, as in the picture.

Cut slits along the folded lines about halfway to the center of the paper.

Insert pushpin into tip of one corner. Fold every other corner into the center, using the pushpin to gather each tip as you go.

Push the pushpin into the center of the pinwheel.

Push the pushpin into the side of the pencil eraser. Be careful not to push the pushpin out the other side of the eraser.

Blow on your pinwheel and watch it spin!
Use caution if small children are making this project. I recommend safety scissors and adult supervision while making this craft.
Pinwheel is not for children 3 years and under. The pushpin could pose a choking hazard!
