How To Play Chubby Bunny

Chubby Bunny remains one of the more disgusting, ridiculous, and entertaining games imaginable.  All the game requires is a bag of large marshmallows, a couple of friends, a garbage bag, a big mouth and an iron stomach.

The object of the game is to see how many large marshmallows a player can fit into his or her mouth and still be able to audibly - and reasonably clearly - say "Chubby Bunny."  The player who jams the greatest amount of marshmallows into his mouth and can still say "Chubby Bunny" wins.  There are, of course, several rules and restrictions.

Game Play:

You can play Chubby Bunny with as little as two players but you can incorporate as many players as you like.  The game can be taken in individual turns, or you can have each player continue until he is no longer able before moving on to the next one -- it's up to you.

After each marshmallow is inserted, the player must say "Chubby Bunny."  When the player's mouth is so filled with marshmallows that he cannot recite "Chubby Bunny" audibly, or he ejects one or more marshmallows from his mouth, his turn is over and the score is tallied.

The player who successfully inserts the greatest number of marshmallows into his mouth and says "Chubby Bunny" wins.

To make it interesting, the players can decide to award a prize to the winner.  Players can also designate a booby prize for the last place contestant.  This booby prize is often somewhat silly or embarrassing.

It should be decided before game play who will judge the proceedings.  A good solution is to nominate one or more impartial judges.  In any event, the ground rules for the game are loose but should be firmly agreed upon by all parties before starting.  Chubby Bunny, though fun and fluffy, can turn serious with competitive players.

It is absolutely forbidden to eat or attempt to eat any of the marshmallows in Chubby Bunny.  If a player is seen chewing, he is automatically disqualified.  Players must also refrain from swallowing marshmallows whole.  A player may, however, manipulate the marshmallows already in his mouth with one or more fingers.

It is should be decided ahead of time whether a player is allowed to build up a pool of saliva in his mouth and liquefy the marshmallows.  This advanced technique can win a game, but may also lead to an argument.

  • A good score is over 20 marshmallows.
  • An average score is 10 to 13 marshmallows.
  • A very poor score is 7 or less marshmallows.
