How To Unravel DOOM Secret Levels

Are you having a hard time passing several levels in DOOM?  You must be glued to your Xbox by now and the black of your eyes must be turning white.  You will find out that several levels will actually be a lot easier to finish.  On some levels though, you might find it more difficult to pass the secrets, which makes the games more interesting to those who are looking for the ultimate challenge. 


Here are your walkthrough guides in finding the secret levels of the game DOOM:

1. E1M9: Military Base.  It is located in the E1M3: Toxin Refinery.   Follow a corridor until it brings you to a courtyard.  On the western and eastern portion of the courtyard are stairways.  To the west, you will find a yellow key behind a fence and on the east is the red key behind a yellow door.  Exit the room via a second yellow door then head east until you see a box pillar.  Follow a stair from the west side, then open a red door.  Head for the further end of the room and destroy the barrels blocking a switch.  Activate the switch to find the blue key.  Get back to the courtyard and follow the northern stairs then through the blue door.  Get down the canal and find an imp and a green switch.  Upon reaching the platform, a door will open and you should click the switch just before entering.  Look for the lift and break into it through a hidden door on top of the lift.  Cross the canal, then press exit.
2. Map31: Wolfenstein. – Enter a room ahead of you, then make a left.  Enter the room opposite you and you will arrive at a grey room.  Go through another room opposite you, then pass a wooden hallway, then enter the next door.  In the wooden room, turn left and go to a door where you will come across a few more doors.  Always choose left when facing three doors.  Then you can accomplish the final task of pushing the switch to exit.
3. MAP32: Grosse.  Accessible through MAP31: Wolfenstein is the second secret level of DOOM II.  Enter a room with large pillars after opening the door in front of you.  You will meet resistance here, and when you are close to the room opposite your entrance, a monster will attack you after opening it.  After dealing with it, enter the room where the cyberdemon came from.  Kill all commander Keens, then watch the panels arise.  Jump to the sky floor and hit the switch to exit.
4. E2M9: Fortress of Mystery. Accessible through E2M5: Command Center.  You will be starting in the middle of a room.  Barons of hell will be attacking you from two directions.  Enter the eastern door and go to the eastern room.  Between two lion statues is a wall, then head for the final area.  Upon entering, push the switch on your left side to reveal the blue key.  You will be exchanging keys as you pass several doors until you reach the last door.  You can now exit by using the exit teleporter.

In all of these secret levels, try to look around pillars and behind barrels, because they act as secret storage to some goodies that you don’t want to miss.  Items like RPG, plasma guns, chainguns, backpacks, super shotguns, medikits and ammos are scattered in these locations for you to find.  Aside from that, these levels will make DOOM more interesting just like the movie.
