You are a TV junkie and you can't deny it--you live, breathe and eat Prime Time TV series on your plasma/LCD TV, and you are practically like a walking TV guide of local shows. So your favorite show has aired its final episode, and you get teary-eyed. You cannot sleep through the night wondering how you can live without your "Friends" (uh-huh).
TV shows have gained popularity over the years, and the themes range from friendship to family, to gender-sensitivity, and target groups from tweens to the older age brackets.
Whether it is comedy, crime, drama, suspense, or some supernatural genres, TV shows capture all age brackets and all markets. TV shows have also given birth to A-List celebrities earning millions of dollars per episode, and to movie celebrities as well.
Something tells me you would want to get your own copy of all the episodes, and we'll tell you where to get them.
- If it is a recently concluded TV show, you might want to wait for it on DVD. When it would be available is announced on entertainment news shows (which we suppose you watch religiously as well).
- Check out eBay. Some sellers post videos for sale online. Don't back down or lose hope if a seller is selling other TV shows--sometimes you just need to ask and chances are, he also has the TV show you're looking for; he just hasn't posted it, or sometimes he could help you look out for it.
- Look over forums. Not only do you get to share stories and opinions on these sites, but also some avid fans are selling copies of TV shows in DVD.
- Go to video stores. They would have the first up to the last episode of your favorite TV show in clear DVD copies.
- You could also try to download. With the advent of ‘sharing' files, you could try your luck and see if you can download episodes of your favorite TV shows. If you can't find all of them at the same time, try checking on different dates when the ‘file' would be available.
Compare prices and check the quality of the tapes before you buy them. You can use a music player to check the audio quality of the tapes.
Now you can watch your favorite TV stars (not just via satellite) over and over again. Never mind if they are all grown up (or grown old) by now. What matters is you get entertained, and you get to forget everything and just be happy for the moment.
Now, grab your popcorn, go to your favorite lazy boy (LCD for a good video projection, or portable TV or LCD TV or what have you), invite a few friends over, have a beer (or a keg), pop the DVD into your DVD player, and laugh your heart out, or be tear-jerky watching your very own copies of these TV shows.
