It can be the most anticipated, and at the same time the most challenging time of the year.  Seasonal casualties and triumphs both accompany Christmas. Let's face it; Christmas is just as much about decorating as it is about spending time with family. Some people frankly enjoy the challenge of decorating both inside the home and out because it brings a family together and because doing a good job impresses. The most challenging part of decorating for the holidays can be decking out the exterior. If it's not the temperature that gets you, it's the effort. However, fear not, whether you are trying to decorate a three-story house, or a ranch, you should find information here that will make stringing lights a cinch.

Materials:

Ladder
Tray or a tool bag or box
Gloves
Gutter hooks (what your lights rest on)
Someone to supervise
Christmas lights.

  1. If you are the main person in charge of decorating and you haven’t already, the first thing you might want to do is try to envision your house fully decorated. Then try estimating how many lights you will need in order to achieve that result.
  2. If you have your lights and all of the supplies mentioned, you will want to start setting yourself up in the area where you want to begin decorating. Having someone there to supervise is of use if you need someone to hold the ladder, (if you need one) or if you need an opinion about something.
