The Fourth of July is a true American holiday. It kicks off the summer season with hopefully great weather and fireworks. Everyone has their own celebration, whether it is going out of town or having people over. Pools, beaches and lakes across America will be filled with people celebrating this historic day. One of the more popular ways to celebrate the Fourth of July is to have friends and family over for a barbeque. If you are interested in entertaining some guests this Fourth of July, take some tips from this article to make it a great experience.
Step 1:

Invite your friends and family. In order to have a great time, you will need to set up a list of people to invite over and enjoy the festivities. For this occasion it does not have to be formal, so feel free to allow people to bring friends -- the more the merrier. This also may be a great time to get to know the neighbors a little better; invite them over as well.

Step 2:

Get plenty of food. Once you have a good idea as to who is coming to your barbeque, you need to go ahead and starting preparing the food. Be sure to get plenty, so that everyone is able to eat. Also get a variety of food from chicken to hotdogs and hamburgers. Make sure that everyone is taken care of and enjoys it.

Step 3:

Provide a variety of drinks.  Right after food, drinks are the next most important thing to have at your Fourth of July barbeque. This does not mean just alcoholic drinks. Have an assortment of refreshments. First of all, not everyone will want alcohol and more than likely there will be some kids around that need to stay hydrated.

Step 4:

Select quality entertainment. If you plan on making the barbeque an all day event, then you may want to look into some form of entertainment to keep everyone from getting restless. It is a good idea to have this barbeque by a pool so people can cool off and enjoy the water. Also have some music in the background that is enjoyable to all.

Step 5:

Enjoy the fireworks. You cannot celebrate the Fourth of July without having some form of fireworks. When it starts to get dark, go ahead and bring out the fireworks to show off. If it isn't legal to have fireworks in your area, plan to visit a location to view the fireworks. Be sure that all kids are a safe distance away from the fireworks and that all safety precautions are met.

The Fourth of July is a great day. Make this next one a great holiday for all to remember.
