  4. Location and other requirements. When you purchase a portable water tank, tell the vendor where you intend to situate it. The temperature of area where it will be stored, pressure requirements, the means to deliver the water into and out of the water tank are some of the important factors you need to consider. Some tanks are located near a well or filled by pumping water from a natural source such as a creek.
