  • Fluorescent - The fluorescent light bulbs are very efficient light fixtures. The good thing about these is that they produce a very small amount of heat. The usual life span of the bulbs is from 10,000 to 20,000 hours.
  • Compact Fluorescent - The compact fluorescent light bulbs work very much the same as the regular fluorescent bulbs but appear in smaller packages. These are efficient energy savers as well.
  • High Intensity Discharge (HID) Lamps - The HID lamps have different types including metal halide, mercury vapor, and high pressure sodium bulbs. The unique feature of this kind of bulb is that its small bulb can produce a very large amount of light. Its use is required in large areas that needs a high amount of light like gymnasiums and parking lots.
  • Low-pressure Sodium Lamps - Of all the commercially-available light fixtures, the low-pressure sodium bulb is the most efficient. This is usually used outdoors like pathways and roadways.
  • Light Emitting Diodes (LED) - The LED light is being produced without the use of filament, commonly used in all other commercial bulbs.
