Hi, in this video, I will just show you how to change your Login Panel background.
So what you have to do now is open finder and going down here or on the MacIntosh HD by going right here. So just open it and see if it opens up a list and if it does not click on the MacIntosh HD on the driver on the side. Then now you go to your system and then to library and then you scroll down until you see the CoreServices. Just click on that. And it opens up a list. There will be a lot on the list that you have never seen before and if you scroll down, you would see a picture right here, DefaultDesktop.jpg and you want to backup. Copy this picture first or this image. So click on this the Control C and then save it to anywhere you want. I am just going to save it on TerryC and then go down in this Pictures right here. So open it up. Basically, you can just save it anywhere and I will just save it pretty right here, just press Control V.
Now, you can go back to where you were. So, on the CoreServices, you can go find a new picture. I got it right here, so I am going to view the picture. Then, what you want to do now is you can use your favorite image reducing software or use Rapido Resizer, my favorite resizing of image. So Rapido Resizer right here, so just click on that. Now, I need to let this picture in and I am going to change the size and it is already the right size. If this is not, then the width should be 1920 px and the height it would just change up for you automatically. So when it is done, just save or export it for everywhere you are using. And then what you want to do now is go down over here and save. And if your image does not end with jpg, you should use any image software and export as jpg. So, now what you have to do now is click once and click twice slowly, rename it and name it DefaultDesktop.jpg and just like that. So while you are on it, just click and drag image over CoreServices and it will ask you to authenticate.
Before the login background just look like this, so you know what it looked like and then I can just directly drag the image here and put it here and then it will just ask you to authenticate, and then just click on that and then it will save your place. This will only backup the image you have right over, here so you do not need to worry about that. So you just going to click replace, type in your password, log in.
Now, let us go check if the login background is still the same or it is different.
