Southern California has been my home for 27 years. Living here has ruined me for any non-coastal locales, so I guess I'm stuck here for good.

I received my Bachelor's Degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2000 and a Master's Degree from the Claremont School of Theology in 2004. I will be enrolling in the Master of Social Work Program at California State University, Los Angeles in Fall of 2006.

In real life, I work in youth ministry at a small church. I enjoy working with young people, and my duties include teaching, counseling, and generally trying to keep up with the energy level of today's high school and junior high students while being constantly reminded that I'm getting old!

I supplement youth ministry work with music. I've been playing electric bass for ten years and have studied under Motown great Carol Kaye, among others. In addition to instruction, I am also available for studio and live work in the Los Angeles area. My bass playing appears on several albums, and I've had the privilege of playing in historic venues such as the House of Blues, Whisky a Go-Go, and the Roxy Theater.

Freshwater aquarium-keeping is my other major hobby. I enjoy the challenge of maintaining an ecosystem and being responsible for a community. I currently run four aquarium environments in my home, and have successfully bred offspring from both livebearing and egg-laying freshwater species.
