Kyle lives in NH with his wife and two children. He is a news editor at Captivate Network and occasional freelance writer. In his free time he can be found in the woods looking for snakes, animal tracks, or the golf ball he just lost there.
Kyle began playing poker about 20 years ago. For a while there he spent way too much time at the seven-card stud tables of his local casino, but now is settled and satisfied with the occasional hold 'em game online, where you might run into him playing under Charles Bukowski's nom de guerre. He's learned the game the hard way -- losing a lot, winning a little, losing again, finally consistently winning -- so you can learn from him and get to that final phase a little less painfully.
Kyle is also an avid sports fan -- watching and playing -- but isn't much of an athlete. He's had to work hard over 18-plus years of playing golf to build a swing and learn how to score reasonably well within his limited ability. His education has included covering the golf team for his college paper, taking lessons from pros, and reading countless magazine articles and books, not to mention thousands of hours on the course.
