[Music Playing] You know early spring is a great time to plant some of those root vegetables and as great my garden soil is I still like to put a lot of my root vegetables in containers. So we are going to plant some things in containers. Now, this containers that I have here are some containers I bought several years ago and they are specially made for gardening in containers but you can plant in any thing that you have, you can plant in a bucket, you can plant in trash burrow. It does not matter we are just going to happen to use this. I am going to start with the carrots, we are going to show you how to this. I am going to plant one row and then I am going to wait several weeks and plant another row and then I will wait another a couple weeks and plant another. That way I will get a succession of carrots throughout the entire season. So the first row is going to go in, this is very easy guys, that all you do is you dry your little row here inside your bucket. Carrots do not have to be plant at deep at all. We are going to put the carrots in a row here, I just dug down a little bit, and then we are going to sprinkle the carrots in here. Sprinkle the seeds in a nice row and then I am going to be basically cover that row up, very easily pack that down a little bit. Now, I do not have to add any moisture for this because even sitting out here all winter long because there is no need to add moisture. If you have a container when you starting with fresh soil you may have to add a little bit of water but this a plenty wet. The other thing you want to do just add a little bit of organic fertilizer or regular fertilizer, I happen to add a little bit of Electra and you basically on this stuff just follow the direction, it says for flower beds spread evenly over the soil, for potted plants, how you plant it. And then, finally is all I am going to do, I am going to take this clothe and this is a special clothe, it is actually specifically for starting seeds. This will help with light as well as moisture it is also going to protect things from animals from digging in here. And then I am just going to put this in and secure with this nice metal stick which is also made specifically for securing clothe and we are done and that it is and then you just wait. This is a really great way to plant your root vegetables. If you may think I do not have a big garden, I cannot plant carrots or I can get beats but you can. You can go and make container and works really well. [Music Playing]
