How to Write Etiquette and Thank You Notes.
A thank you note is an expression of appreciation for a thoughtful act, expression, or gift.
Many people suffer so much anxiety over the perfect wording that the notes are never sent. Remember, it is not about grammar. It is the thought that counts.
Do’s of Thank You Notes.
Do send your thank you notes as quickly as possible. Use nice stationary not piece of Xerox paper or a post it. Wedding notes need to be sent on formal stationary. Always make specific reference to the gift.

Always send notes in the following situations. For sympathy letters, flowers, or mass cards. To the hostess after a party was hosted in your honor, after an interview, for gifts that were received by mail, after being entertained by your boss, for bridal or baby shower gifts, gifts received during a hospital stay, after being hosted as a houseguest for one or more nights, for notes or gifts of congratulations.
