You must have gone through different recipes for a lamb leg roast, but I guarantee you that you will find this recipe the best of all. This is a Pakistani traditional recipe.

Ingredients:

  • Onion, 1 large
  • Garlic, 15-20 cloves
  • Ginger, 1 inch piece
  • Green chillies, 15-20
  • Vinegar, ¼ cup
  • Lemon juice, 4 tbsp
  • Cumin seed (roasted), 1 tsp
  • Cloves, 5-6
  • Cinnamon, 1 stick
  • Meat tenderizer powder, 1½ tsp
  • Oil, 3 tbsp

Directions:

  1. Clean the lamb leg.
  2. On both the sides of the leg, apply a deep cut.
  3. Add all the ingredients in the blender, and blend them all to make a thick paste.
  4. Apply the paste onto the leg and marinate it for 3 hours.
  5. Wrap the leg and the mixture in aluminum foil tightly.
  6. Bake it for 1½ to 2 hours on 180˚C. If you have a numbered oven, then bake it on number 5.
  7. Serve it hot with sliced cucumber and onion.
