How To Buy a Ski Pass

Instructions on how to buy a ski pass:

  1. The first step in buying a ski pass is to locate the area where you would like to ski on. The best way to go about this is choosing an area nearby, for convenience.
  2. Once you have chosen your location, the next step on the agenda would be picking a day to go, or in the circumstances of buying a season pass, finding the times to go.
  3. After you have done so, driving and arriving at the mountain or ski area is the next step.
  4. Once you are at the mountain, you should go into the base lodge and search for the area of the building that has signs saying, "Lift Tickets" or "Purchase Ski Passes" (or something along those lines). Depending on where you are skiing, these areas to purchase tickets may be indoors or outdoors. If you are having trouble finding the area in which you can buy your ski pass, you may consult one of the workers at hand.
  5. When you have located where they are selling ski passes, it is best to figure out what time of the day you will be skiing. There are different prices for each session, whether it's an all-day pass, a morning pass, a midnight pass, and so on.
  6. Once you have the time of day figured out, you may approach the window where you will buy your ski pass. Speak with the ticket representative.
  7. This ticket representative will ask you which type of pass you would like, and then you will be categorized by your age.  These two factors will determine the price for your ski pass.  A typical ski area has options ranging from Youth to Senior.  Most of the time, younger children are able to ski at a greatly reduced cost, or even for free.
  8. Once you have chosen your age, the time of day, and so on, the ticket representative will ask for your payment. You may either pay with cash or credit card. Select which method of payment you would like, and present it to the ticket representative.
  9. After the representative has received your money, she will hand you your ski pass and a metal widget to attach it to your outerwear.
  10. Congratulations - you have just bought your first ski pass! See, buying ski passes is easy.
