The first sponsor was Builders Square for 5 years, next was Sylvania for 2 years, MasterCard for 3 and finally in May 2007 the Bowl was sponsored by Valero Energy Corporation, right to the present day. Currently it is known as Valero Alamo Bowl. Due to the different sponsorships marks were changed in the logo as the years went on.
