How To Dress Harajuku Style

Harajuku style is the name of street fashion trends that emerge from the Harajuku Station district in Tokyo, Japan. The free form, creative style is popular among teens and young adults in the area. Due to its free-form nature, Harajuku style is difficult to define. It may be considered eclectic, influenced by anime or manga character styles and over-the-top romance. Follow these steps to dress in Harajuku style.

How To Rip Jeans

The denim used to make jeans is one of the most durable fabrics used for clothing. Your jeans should outlast every other article of clothing you own. When ripped jeans became fashionable, they also became more costly. If you prefer to rip your own jeans instead of buying a pair, follow these instructions.

Materials:
Jeans
Scissors
Sandpaper or file
Safety pin
Bleach (optional)

How To Make Sleevies

This can be used by anyone, not just women.

In the summer seasons, it's hard to find long-sleeved tops, and often hotter, so this is a good alternative.

You will need:

Footless tights. You can get them most places. Some stores will sell them for very little, while others are expensive. As I'm in the UK I can't recommend stores in the USA, but I'm sure Wal-Mart will sell them. (They seem to have everything!) In the UK, places like New Look and Tesco have them. You can use normal tights, but they may not look as neat.

Pair of scissors.

Short sleeved t-shirt to wear with them. I haven't had much success with sleeveless ones, but you could try.

Yes that's all!

Directions:

How To Outdo Others in the Competitive Art of Gift-Giving this Holiday Season

Yes, this season is about giving…in theory. But why not be the best gift-giver you can possibly be? More importantly, why not shamelessly and effortlessly defeat your competition?

THE CAST

The GIFT GIVER: Played by none other than YOU

The GIFTEE (otherwise known as the Gift Receiver): Lover, person you want to be your lover, co-worker, family member, fiancé, husband, wife, person you know is going to get you a gift and you will feel like crap if you don’t give him one

The GIFTROBBERS (people who want to outdo you in the gift-giving process.): These people may include jealous family members, wannabe lovers of the GIFTEE, passive aggressive relatives, a person who likes to throw money around to hide his glaring flaws, etc.

How To Stencil a Small Number of T-Shirts Yourself

Okay so why should you take my advice?

Well, let me start off by introducing myself, my name is Chantelle and I started a t-shirt company called Wear Me Naked three years ago. We specialize in hand painted, hand stenciled, hand stitched and silk screened t-shirts. Besides giving our t-shirts a good hand job (sorry I couldn't resist) as opposed to having machines printing up shirts for us, we hire artists to take their place. We really are about as couture as a t-shirt gets. When I started in 2004 I was mostly using stencils, over the years we have graduated to silk screening and other methods.

How To Justify Expensive Jeans

So you need to justify your purchase of--well, let's just call them "expensive"--jeans. You'll need to tweak your message depending on your audience, but here are a few tips to get you started:

Know when to fold 'em. Certain generations are just never going to get it. Anyone who lived through the Depression, for example, is not going to be able to wrap his or her mind around the idea of spending several hundred dollars on a pair of jeans. They visualize those dollars in terms of food, and your mostly debrided pile of denim does not compare well with the rows upon rows of fresh gleaming apples and hanging racks of beef in their heads. So don't even go there. If it's your boyfriend who wants to know how much you spent on your jeans, just tell him "$100 per pocket," and let him do the math. (Maybe he won't notice those double hip pockets.)
