How To Whiten Teeth

Tooth bleaching has now become the most sought-after dental treatment in the United States, with the number of tooth whitening procedures being performed in dentists' offices increasing by more than 300 percent in the last five year. There are many different options for those wishing to whiten their teeth - from $25 over-the-counter strips to $600+ specialized in-office dental procedures.

Determine if you are a candidate for tooth whitening. Children under 16 years old, those with sensitive teeth or gums, pregnant and nursing women, and those with peroxide allergies should ask their dentist for advice before embarking upon a tooth whitening journey. Also, remember that fillings and crowns will not bleach, and tooth whitening does not work on all stains.

Whether you're reentering the dating world after a long hiatus or just finally admitting that your coffee and cigarette routine has caught up with you, you want whiter teeth. You don't want to go the Chiclets route-where your teeth look more like Chiclets than enamel-but on the other hand, that yellowish hue has dulled your smile.

Once you start considering teeth whitening options, you'll begin to notice people's teeth in a way you never have before. Teeth come in lots of different colors, from white to yellow to gray, with stains in a variety of colors as well. You may notice that you're running in a pearly white crowd without the requisite ingredients-the pearly whites, that is.

Here are a few tips on how you can whiten your teeth and how much the teeth whitening process will lighten your wallet:

How To Define a Personal Brand

We're all familiar with the concept of branding. But not all people are aware of the power of creating a brand for oneself. Your personal brand is all-important, particularly when you run a small business. Think Kate Spade, Martha Stewart, Oprah - these are all individuals who created entire businesses around their own successful self-branding.

Nothing frames your face and highlights your eyes like a well-shaped eyebrow. It draws attention to your brow bone, your cheekbones, and instantly gives you a more youthful look. Regardless of whether you like to keep your eyebrows thick or prefer a thinner brow, you should pluck your brow. Brow plucking is a bit of an art, however - follow these steps and you'll have a beautiful brow in no time!

How To Make Fragrance Oils

Fragrance oils are great for layering with perfume or even as an alternative to perfume. Making your own fragrance oils also gives you the option of making your own fragrance if you can't find a scent you like. It is also a more economical way to enjoy single-note fragrances, or even make your own "designer imposter" fragrance. Here are the steps for making your own fragrance oil.

Find a base oil. There are a lot of choices here. Many of the choices have other benefits, so you may want to compare.

Jojoba, for example, is an amazing conditioner for both skin and hair.

Arnica oil is great for massage - it reduces inflammation, helps aching joints, and helps heal bruises.
How To Shave

Are you tired of waking up in the morning and wondering if your razor has one more shave left in it? Afraid of the burns and cuts and bumpy scars of a bad shave? It's hard to say, by looking at the razor, whether there's enough of the lubricant strip left to protect your face, or the razors have dulled to the point that you'll have to press extra hard and potentially irritate your face even more. What can a guy do to get a predictably excellent, comfortable shave? What kind of razor are you using?

Razors

Many men begin their adult lives shaving with a disposable straight-edge because of the indisputable appeal of shaving with a blade. It's manly! But few men nurture proper shaving habits or invest enough time or money into the shaving process to make shaving anything but a painful and scarring chore.

How To Apply Cologne

Cologne is an item commonly found in most medicine cabinets alongside toothpaste and aspirin. Even though it is a frequently purchased item, some consumers are still confused about what brand of cologne to buy and how to apply it. Before purchasing cologne, make sure you have picked a scent that suits you. Don't simply rely on suggestions from friends. What works for one individual, might not work for another. Keep in mind that the intensity of a scent changes in response to your body heat. So, consider changing your cologne with the season just as you do with your wardrobe. Another helpful hint is to sample cologne before purchasing it. Stop by the fragrance counter at your local department store and sample different brands. Come back on a future visit to actually purchase your cologne. After leaving the store, you might realize that you are not quite as fond of a cologne as you were when you were in close proximity to scents from dozens of other brands and

How To Make Perfume

The price of perfume these days is pretty steep. For a bottle of a popular perfume by Ralph Lauren or Chanel, you can expect to pay anywhere from $50-$100. This price is pretty high for a scent that is not even unique! For a whole lot less money and a few ingredients, you can make your own customized perfume and monitor what goes into it as well.

The basic formula for perfume is 15% to 30% essential oil, 70% to 80% of pure grain alcohol, such as vodka, and 5% of distilled or bottled spring water. Essential oil can be replaced with fragrance oil for a cheaper quality and price perfume. Essential oil can easily be found in a craft store or health food store. Store your perfume in a small glass or plastic container. You can buy a container with a sprayer at almost any local craft store. You might also be able to find vintage perfume bottles at thrift stores or flea markets.

How To Choose a Shaving Cream

Male or female, I bet you spend a fair amount of time in the bathroom each week, shaving your hair down to the smooth skin below. There are formulas out there marketed specifically for men and women as well--though your main focus should just be finding a formula that works well with your skin.

With all of the choices out there, how do you find what works for you without spending a pretty penny and far too much time shaving? Here is what to look for, and a few recommendations from us:

Moisture is a must! When shaving, you are opening up the pores in your skin, making it very easy for them to dry out. Finding a cream that is moisturizing should be top priority.
