If you hate receiving speeding tickets, why beat the red light all the time? Why not follow the desired speed limits in the highway?
You actually know the minimum and maximum speed limits , yet it seems you are not paying attention to it. You drive as if you are on a racetrack, eager to win the first place. Let me see, how many speeding tickets you have you brought upon yourself? Thus beating the red lights all this time makes you happy? Or chasing with policemen cars appeals to you so much? Or you just love annoying everyone on the streets?
Anyone who obtains a driving license knows the traffic rules and regulations. After all, it is for our own benefit. Accidents do happen and at times, you’ll never know when you are going to meet the misfortune that will change your life.
Perhaps, in reality, we always aspire to beat a traffic ticket, but it’s either we are just anxious to do so or we don’t know where and how to do it. Somehow, it doesn’t hurt to try and break some rules from time to time, but do you have any idea how to act if you are caught in that situation? Here are helpful suggestions from traffic offenders:
- Learn to deal with the police officers. If you have been beating that red light a hundred times, for sure you know how to reason out. If not, get ready to accomplish this ambition.
- When a policeman approaches you, switch off your ignition, but never turn off the lights. Be sure that you can see the police officers’ faces as well.
- It’s never wrong to be polite. After all, it’s your fault that you got a speeding ticket. Speak with the officers graciously and they might come to their senses to release you because they are impressed of your behavior.
- Ask for pardon. This is your day if a police officer did not convict you with any traffic violations.
- Make an “alibi” but be sure it is well-accepted. Reason out why you are driving so fast and he might understand you and forgive you for breaking some rules.
- Don’t boast around. If the police officers request you to leave, then disappear in an instant. Be happy that they gave you another chance to change your act.
What if you explanations or alibis do not work? Do you have any back-up plans? Some say it is not wrong to meet and talk with the police officers who issued you a speeding ticket. At least, he can give you his basis for issuing infringement.
If you were asked to attend seminars on driving lessons or worst case scenario, a court hearing because of your multiple speeding offense; then, do not delay. As a matter of fact, you have the right to consult a lawyer too and ask if you could negotiate for alternative penalty. He may come up with good ideas and it’s up for you to decide. If asked what possible consequences you are considering, better be ready with an answer.
