There are several ways to book a Princess Cruise. Several suppliers and travel agencies offer these cruises. To be able to fully customize the trip, you can use the online booking feature of the company's site at www.princess.com.

Click on the Find and Compare Cruises tab at the top of the home page. This feature of the site is helpful, as it shows you all the options available. Once you have made your choice, it will minimize the remaining categories based on the first option you selected. Options are highlighted in light blue, eliminated choices are highlighted in white, while the selections you clicked are highlighted in royal blue.

Make your selections and click on view. The options you see will depend on what choices you have already made. The feature will not force you to make any choice first. You can base the cruise on the kind of ship you want to ride or the duration of the cruise you want.

Select whether you want a cruise or a cruise tour. A cruise is centered mostly on the ocean voyage. There may be tours at ports of call, but you will need to return to the ship after. The cruise tour allows you to spend several days at the destination.

Choose your desired destination. The number of destinations available depends on the choices you have already made.

Choose the type of ship you want to ride. Each ship has its particular features. One of the largest is the Caribbean Princess with a 3,100 person capacity.

Choose the trip duration. The regular options are 0-5 days, 6-8 days, 9-15 days and 16 days or more.

Select the port where you embark and disembark. This depends on the port of call of the particular cruise. If there are several options, choose the one nearest to where you live.

Select your cruise date. Most cruises are only available months, or even years in advance. Try to book early, and choose one that you're sure you will be available for.

Now press the View button.

Look at the Search results. The feature will present you with a list of options. Now you have the option to select which of the available packages you want. You can also choose to compare the package with others or save the cruise. If you have already chosen one, click on the Details & Availability button.

Personalized Pricing is an option included in all of the steps prior to paying for the tour. It first appears at the search results page. If you have booked a cruise with Princess Cruise before, you can be eligible for discounts on the prices, simply log-in using your user account to check.

The Details & Availability page shows you the specifics. You can check the itinerary, features of the ship, the shore excursions available and the weather forecast for your trip. It also shows the breakdown of the cost depending on what kind of room you want to have on the ship. Click on the Reserve button once you have decided.

Select your room. The available staterooms are presented, including the price per person and the basic features. Choose one of those listed and click Continue.

Depending on the room, you will need to choose the deck your room is on. The decks will dictate whether you will be staying at the middle, back or front part of the ship.

Input passenger information. Once you have the stateroom and cruise package details, you can now give your personal details to create an account on the site.

You can use a number of credit cards or debit cards to pay for the cruise.

You will receive a confirmation message containing the details of your trip at the e-mail address you gave while booking.
