If you're planning to take a plane trip abroad any time soon, you might want to check how the weather is going. I'm sure that by now, you've heard the all too familiar stories of people being stranded in airports or missing their flights due to inclement weather. To save yourself the trouble of actually having to go through this, you might want to try and take a look-see at how the weather is doing both in your area, in your stopovers and in your destination. Forewarned is always forearmed.

Crawling through the Internet will give you a few good sites to check out if you're looking for weather news in relation to flying. Travel Forecast is one of people's favorites. Clicking the link will take you to a very informative homepage, where the weather is the first order of business for the day. One of the newer, more useful features that the people at Travel Forecast have to offer is their Tripcast Air service. The service is designed to keep you updated on the weather conditions based on your itinerary - this takes out all the guesswork as to how the weather in one stop will be, then the next one, and so on. Simply plug in all the destinations that are part of your flight route or itinerary, and the Tripcast Air service will be able to give you updates on the weather in those specific places every hour on the hour. Every time you step off the plane, you'll have a very good idea of what the weather will be like.

If you're traveling light and quick, check out the navigation bar on the left side of Travel Forecast's home page. You will see a search box that will ask you for the area state, city or country that you will be visiting. All you need to do now is type the name of your destination, and the people at Travel Forecasts will be able to tell you what the weather is like in that area, along with a detailed 7 day forecast for the rest of your trip. There are also a few helpful links that you can find in this navigation pane, such as news on flight delays for that day and an itinerary forecast. Before you take a trip, make sure to give this site a good read.

Weather.com is another very helpful site to check out if you are planning a trip. As soon as you log into the home page, you will be presented with a lot of information, and I'm talking a LOT. Try not to be overwhelmed at first, the site is actually pretty easy to navigate once you get the hang of it and have defined what you are looking for. You can search for the weather conditions in the state of your choice, and the site also has quite a number of late-breaking weather news for you to check out, so that you have the latest information on hand.
