Elizabeth has been married for 10 years and has 1 son. She met the love of her life while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. After her and her husband were honarably discharged, they moved back to Colorado together to start a family. After more then 3 years of infertility treatments, they gave birth to a son in 2003. The birth of their son was her inspiration for studying childbirth education, however, this path led her to become a professional birth assistant. Elizabeth began practicing as a professional birth assistant in November 2004. She was certified by the Childbirth and Postpartum Professionals Association (CAPPA) in July 2005 and holds the credentials, CLD (Certified Labor Doula) and was certified by DONA International in November 2007 and holds the credentials CD(DONA). Elizabeth strives to continuously educate herself on the topic of childbirth and parenting. She is President and a founding member of Colorado Birth Resources. Elizabeth also teaches parenting classes to families in the Denver Metro Area as a Love and Logic Early Childhood Parenting Made Fun facilitator. She enjoys, hiking, skiing, scuba diving and vacationing with her family.

My inspiration for helping families through the transition to parenthood comes from my birth and my transition. My experience with the families I have served has motivated me to do further research on this topic and I strive to make this transition as easy as possible for my families.
