Joy is a professional copywriter and entrepreneur who took the plunge to go solo almost two years ago. Since then, she's never looked back and has become a passionate advocate for motivating others to do the same by pursuing their entrepreneurial dreams.
As a copywriter, she works closely with businesses to create catchy ad concepts and craft targeted messages that motivate people to act. She also writes web content, articles, advertorials and anything that involves the art of wordsmithing.
Joy holds an M.B.A. in marketing (brand management), and her background includes a seven-year stint in the news industry where she worked as a television news writer and producer for each of the major news affiliates. She wrote breaking news under tight deadlines and produced early-morning shows when most people were still asleep. As a result, she's written about almost everything under the sun, from hit-and-runs to hemorrhoids.
As an entrepreneur, Joy has this to say to others, "I've finally regained control of my life and my time. I still work hard, but it's nice knowing that this time, the head woman in charge is me."
I am greatly inspired by all the underdogs of the world - the little guys who somehow make it and end up thriving against all odds. I enjoy writing, but I also love reading good novels with unexpected twists in the plot (i.e. The Da Vinci Code)... I just know I have a good book in me waiting to come out.:) I love to laugh hard, entertain with good food and wine, run, travel and spend time at the beach.
