Raven West, writer, author and columnist decided to become a journalist when she discovered that showing a "Press Pass" gave her access to areas and people that others usually never see. While studying journalism at the University of Missouri- Columbia, she fell in love with the college radio station, switched majors and transferred to Syracuse University.

Combining her writing skills and radio industry background, she wrote her first novel RED WINE FOR BREAKFAST a contemporary story set in the volatile world of a Los Angeles radio station. (Lighthouse Press)

She spent one summer working at a small rural post office in upstate New York which became the setting for "First Class Male" (Lighthouse Press)

Writing under the name FireBird, she published a collection of erotica short stories "Journey To Dimension Nine" (Lighthouse Press, 2006)

Her short story "Lilith in the Garden" is included in the anthology "The Shortcut, 20 Stories to Get You from Here to There", (Author Identity, 2006)

Under the name of Robin C. Westmiller, J.D. In June of 2006, she published her non-fiction memoir Blood Tastes Lousy With Scotch "How I rescued my father from greedy cousins, thieving attorneys and the Florida Guardianship System", (StarPublish, 2006. Approximate sales to date 1,200) which relates her eighteen month long nightmare that inspired her to form the National Association to Stop Guardian Abuse. The book received the 2006 IRWIN award.

Raven West is a 2007 graduate of the Southern California Institute of Law, in Ventura California. She a member of the Ventura County Bar Association, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Author's Guild, Ventura County Writers Club, Small Publishers, Authors and Writers Network, and Southern California Book Publicists Association
