Okay, so now, we are going to create an additional element here for our lower third, this is just going to be a blue background that we are going to be laying our text over, and for this, we will create a solid layer. So come down to your timeline to any empty space below the layers in the timeline, use your right mouse button and select new solid.
Now, the first thing we want to do is give our solid a color, so, go ahead down here at the bottom to color, click on the color swatch and let us drag our slider up right into the blue values, maybe at the bottom of the blue like that and now click here in the color picker and set something right about there. So, if you want to match my colors, I meant R or Red 17, G or Green 66 and B or Blue 117, go ahead and click okay.
Now, we have got the right color, we just want to change the size. So right now, we have a width of 720 and a height of 480, this is going to create a solid that is going to fill the entire screen. We do not want that. We want it to be as wide at 720 but we only want it to be maybe 2000 pixels high. So, come here to height, just click and drag across the text and then type in 200 and now, let us come down to the bottom and click okay, and there is our new solid.
Now, let us have that B behind the globe, so come over here to your timeline, go ahead and click on the new solid layer and drag it down to the bottom of the timeline to below the map layer. Now, let us position it, so come back up to your composition viewer, go ahead and put your mouse right over the blue solid and click and drag lower.
Now, once you start clicking and dragging, hold down the Shift key and that snaps it in to the Y access, so it is going to stay completely locked in and just drag it down to the bottom like that. That is pretty good right there, perfect. And then release your mouse button.
Now, we need to make this a little smaller, okay, it is taking up a little too much space vertically again, the whole idea is lower third, not a lower half. So, let us come over here to this little square right in the top center and just click and drag that down. And as you can see, that scale is nicely and let us bring that down to about there, okay. We want it to fit nicely in with the globe and now once again, let us move this lower but this time, let us just use the down arrow key on the keyboard to nudge it down by a few pixels.
Once, twice, three times maybe another and that is perfect. You can see we want it centered here over the globe. Let us just temporarily turn off our title and action safe guides. So, come back here to the lower left corner of the composition viewer, click and then click title action safe to deselect. Alright, and that looks pretty good.
I think we might need to bring the entire thing up a little bit. So, let us just do that. So let us come down here to the timeline, go ahead and click on the timeline to make it the panel of interest, hold down your Ctrl key and hit the A key on your keyboard to select all and now, let us use the up arrow key on the keyboard a few times, let us go, one, two, three, four, five, six. Now, let us turn back on our title and action safe guides right here in the comp viewer. So, so ahead and click there, select title action safe and that looks much better. And again, we can position this later on.
