This week’s episode is all about getting old. Specifically aging make up. The goal is to turn my 24 year old friend into someone who can order up to Senior Menu At Danny’s. [Music Playing] [Trailer] Now in order to turn my friend Chris into a baby boomer, we are going to need these three things. Some wrinkly skin and make up, a big gray wooly beard and some old man clothes. The first and most complicated step is going to be the wrinkly skin. Now what I am going to use is called stipple latex. Now you either go online and get pre-made bottle like this for about $20 or you can go to our blog at www.indymogul.com and we have recipe where you can make a pretty much the same stuff from scratch. Or if you are really poor or really lazy, you could probably get away with using just regular liquid latex. It is just not going to look as good but either way the procedure for applying this is the same. [Trailer] Now because the super time lapse is super fast, I want to kind to just verbally explain some of the finer points of creating wrinkly wrinkles. Now what you are going to do is you are going to focus on some key areas like right here, the ridges next to the mouth and around the sides of the eyes and the bottom of the eyes. This is where old people are going to get the majority of their wrinkles. Now what you are going to do is have either your subject or a helper start on one of those areas. I like to start around the eyes. You are going to have them stretch out that patched skin as tight as they can. And then what you are going to do is apply a thin and even layer of the stipple latex right there, keep it, keep it tight and stretched. Let it dry. Apply powder, like a flesh tone powder and then when it is totally dry, release. What it is going to do is going to snap back into place and all that extra fake skin created by the stipple latex is going to create all this little wrinkles. For the beard you are going to need this, crape hair. You can get it at any costume shop, it is super cheap, comes in all different kinds of colors and it comes in this tight braids which you basically—you pull it apart and then you can stretch it, iron it, ruff it up. But once it is ready you are going to stick it to your face with this, it is spirit gum, you can also get this at any costume shop and basically apply it to the face where you want the beard, or mustache first and then the hair and then I usually mess it up a bit and then even trim it with some scissors. [Music Playing] Remember stretch skin, apply stipple latex, powder, then release. You are going to have to do several layers in each area to get the deep wrinkles. For the make up I just darken around the eyes to enhance the wrinkles. Now most of the clothes that we use for the old man costume actually came out of my personal wardrobe. I am not really sure what that says about me. [Trailer] [Music Playing] To help your subjects not appear flat on the screen, light one side of them brighter than the other. [Music Playing] Female: Hey, this is Amber from Chico and I think the movie character that will make the worst grandparent would have to be Hannibal Lector. Male: You cannot go to visit him without him try to psychoanalyze you and screw with your mind. Female: It would be like my grand daughter, just sent me some girls scout cookies. I deliver with Soya beans and a nice camping. Male2: Mary had a little lamb so I ate her. [Music Playing] Male3: Thanks guys I love the show. Bye. [Music Playing]
