If you've seen Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom you'll know one of the greatest special effects of the film is where Mola Ram rips the heart out of someone's chest. In this episode of Backyard FX, Erik recreates that effect.

Male1: Hi everyone and welcome to BFX the pod cast that shows you had a makes for special cheap. [Music Playing] Male1: Back when you the beating heart episodes some people complain that we did not actually show you ripping that heart out of someone’s chest. So, we are going to rip heart out of the chest. [Music Playing] Male1: All right ten dollars is our budget and it is time gathered supplies. You will need an old pillow, and old plastic food container, some aluminum foil about 16 ounce is a fake flood and old shirt you can ruin and of course a fake heart. Normally, I was just use the one I made before when I did this build. I was in California and as some of you may know my heart lives in the big apple so instead I use the potato. Male2: What are you guys doing? Male1: What? Male2: You are making? Male1: I am making a big chest. Male2: A belly? Male1: That is right. Everyday clothes like these are being tossed by the way it side. First, cut and peel your potato into a rough heart shape next mixed up some corn syrup blood in your plastic container. Paint your potato and put it in a blood container. Next hot glue a sheet of foil to the top of the food container, carefully insure a proper seal. Next, tape your old pillow into a chest shape and then trace the shape of the heart container. Next cut a whole in pillow for the blood container and then tape in place and that is pretty much it, just put in the old shirt and get ready to ripped it tater heart from your bodies chest. As I mention before this build in past film took place in California, I was out there visiting family so they make up the entire test to this test film. I guess you could say it is a pure blood back test film except your last name is in back it something else. I was abducted. no not really. Enjoy the test film. Anna and Danny are very interested in the aspect civilizations, they read Aztec books, do online research and they even saw that croppy of Apocalypto. But, one day they got tired of learning about the Aztecs and decided to re-create one of their favorite traditions Female1: Hello Male1: Hi Mom! Anna and I wanted to invite Carlo over to re-create the bloody Aztec ritual. Is that okay? Female1: Is that Carlo that weird friend of yours in moustache? Male1: Uh huh Female1: I guess so, but you do not have too much soda because I do not want you go in crazy or anything. Male1: Thanks mom. Okay Carl we are going to have a file the sacrificial face paint right here. Male4: What? Male1: Face paint. Male1: Because I thought you said- Male1: It is just a face paint Carl and done. Okay, so all we going to do is put on ceremony or garb and rip out his heart. Male4: I did not giving any soda.
