Perna: Hi welcome to watch mojo.com. My name is Perna, I am you host for today. And to continue with the series on beverages, I am here inside Brutopia which is a brewing pub. And I am going to speak to the king of brewing, Chris Downey. So, tell me a little bit about the history of beer. Chris: They have myth Egyptian stoneware with evidence of brewed beverages inside it. I believed that the theory with the Egyptian pops that they found that it was bread that was left. Perna: So tell me a little bit about some of the flavors that you create in. Chris: I usually just try to find something new, something fresh to maybe interest people. If you have five beers, to stand at all time maybe you can cover most of the--a regular basis, a dark beer, a light one, fruit beer. I always say my job is to make enough beers of enough different types and everybody can find one that they like. Perna: So tell me a little bit about the fermentation technique done here? Chris: This is the fermenter? Our thing is still construction, basically part of work, which is what they call beer before becomes beer, work together with the yeast in here, and basically you let the yeast do its work, lots brew jobs, is to keep the yeast happy. People said brews were beer, well I said the yeast makes beer. Brews have to keep the yeast happy.
