What are the two main components in Chinese meals? That is Fon and Choy. Fon is pronounce like the word “an” but with the F in front on it, unlike the American dish. However, the Choy is not meant to over rice the taste of rice or noodles but to enhance the flavor. The choy portion which consists of vegetable fish or meat and the fon portion which consists of rice or noodles. These two couples are not directly related to yin and yang, but it has a similar concept to it. It is no surprise that rice is often used in the meal. After all, rice was grown in China. Noodles are slowly integrated into a meal as China began to encounter other cultures. Today, these fine ingredients are set to almost every Chinese meal. Of all the choy, pork is the most widespread and best loved meat, mutton, fish, tofu, poultry and soy product are other choys that are used in abundance. These choys are cooked in an astonishing array of different ways; stir fry, steaming, stew, bacon, roasting and blanching are all used often. Many types or variety or cooking method are all used during the preparation of a single dish. What do these components help us balance? The fine complements of the mean help the balance the correct yin and yang through forces in the food. The contrast and color and taste of each element are representations of the duality nature of yin and yang. To find enjoyment with foods are very important.
