Okay if you had a delivery truck show up maybe it is a friend, a neighbor, even your own car and look what happens. On your fresh concrete or block up driveway, an oil stain. Do not panic, you can get to cleaned up.
The trick is to act quickly. Now this is even true in case you are working with some brand new oil that is possibly you spill. Here is how you cleanup the oil stain. Take some paper towels and blot up the excess oil and make sure you get rid of those paper towels quickly. Do not store them in the garage. A spontaneous combustion or fire is always a possibility. Get rid of them as quickly as possible.
Now just go get some regular liquid dishwashing soap, spread it on the stain, take some water, a nice nylon scrub brush and get to work. Start scrubbing the concrete or the block top. Now rinse it off and check the results. If the oil stain not completely gone, you can then re-clean it. It may take two of the applications but trust me if it is a fresh oil stain, it will come up and it will look just swell.
Give it a couple of days and you will have no traces of the oil whatsoever. Remember act quickly with oil stains on your driveway.
