As a parent, how you prepare your child for college and the recruiting process. First, you need to have a plan. Come up with a good list of five or six schools that your child can get into. Second, make sure that that school is located in your region that you can go, see them play, but also that they are going to be comfortable in for the four years or five years of they will be there. Next, ask questions, call up the coaches, call up the schools, and ask what you need to do as a parent to help you prepare your child for the recruiting process and getting into their specific school. Next, trust your high school coaches advice. Don't go against what they say. Lot of the times parents may go against what the coach says, and then they will be disappointed in the end. So listen to your high school coach. And finally, be prepared to hear something that's a negative. Your child will not always get into the D1 school of they want to. So you have to prepare yourself ahead of time for that hit. Stay positive, but stay organized.
